How to Cast Formula Columns into Standard Columns Using Smart Columns

Step 1: Install UnFormula Smart Columns

Click the button below to install the UnFormula Smart Columns.

Step 2: Go to the Desired Board

Navigate to the board where you want to activate the UnFormula Smart Columns.

Step 3: Add UnFormula Smart Columns

Select the column where you’d like to enable UnFormula:

  • Click the three dots (…) at the top-right of the column header.
  • From the dropdown, select Column Extensions.
  • Choose UnFormula Smart Column from the list.

Step 4: Set the Condition of UnFormula

Choose the formula column that you’d like to replicate into a usable column.

Step 5: Set the UnFormula Column Trigger

Triggers include:

  • Item is created – When a new item is added
  • Column is changed – When a column value updates
  • Item is moved – When the item changes groups
  • Formula value changes – When the underlying formula output changes

These triggers allow the new value to be auto-inserted and updated continuously.

Step 6: Save Your Settings

Click Save to apply your preferences.
