You’ve set up VLOOKUP recipes between boards, but the app suddenly stops syncing data—or fails to populate the target board entirely. Everything looks right, but nothing’s happening.
Chances are, there’s an issue with authorization.
Why This Happens (and Why It Matters)
Each VLOOKUP recipe runs based on permissions. If the user who set up the recipe no longer has the right access—or if there’s a temporary permission glitch—VLOOKUP won’t be able to fetch or update the data.
This often happens when:
- A user’s monday.com access changes
- Admin roles are reassigned
- Workspaces are duplicated or cleaned up
Good news: You don’t need to rebuild your automations—just re-authorize VLOOKUP.
How to Revoke and Reset VLOOKUP Authorization
Follow these steps to refresh access without deleting any of your integration logic:
Step 1: Open the VLOOKUP App View
- Go to any board where VLOOKUP is installed.
- Open the VLOOKUP Auto-Link view.
Step 2: Click “Revoke Auth”
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Revoke Auth” link.
- This disconnects the app from your current user token—but keeps all your recipes and configurations intact.
Step 3: Re-authorize Access
- A popup will appear asking you to log back in or grant permissions.
- Make sure you’re logged in as a monday.com user with proper editing rights on all linked boards.
Step 4: Test the Integration
- Go back to your VLOOKUP recipes and trigger one of them.
- Data should now sync correctly between your source and target boards.
What You Won’t Lose
Revoking authorization:
- Does not delete your integrations or recipes
- Does not disconnect your board structure
- Simply refreshes the connection between monday.com and VLOOKUP using your active user session
Final Tip: Set Up Recipes With Admin-Level Users
To avoid future interruptions, make sure your active recipes are set up using an account that:
- Has consistent workspace access
- Is unlikely to be deactivated or changed
- Has full edit rights across all relevant boards
