Smart Columns on Monday.com allow users to effortlessly convert any currency into a number column. This feature is ideal for businesses and teams that handle multiple currencies, offering seamless integration into workflows. By configuring “From” and “To” columns, users can select source and target currencies and automatically calculate conversions using up-to-date exchange rates.

Step 1: Install Currency Converter Smart Column
Step 2: Go to the Desired Board
Navigate to the board where you want to add the Currency Converter Smart ColumnStep 3: Add the Currency Converter
Select the column where you want the Currency Converter to appear.
Click the three dots (…) on the top right of the column header.
From the dropdown menu, choose Column Extensions.
Select Currency Converter from the available options.
Step 4: Create two number columns
Create two number columns on Monday.com to represent the two currencies: “From” and “To.”
In the “From” dropdown, select the source currency and specify its currency symbol. In the “To” dropdown, choose the destination currency you wish to convert to.
Step 5: Set the Mirror Trigger
Select one of the following triggers to activate the Mirror column:
Item is created – currency converter will trigger when a new item is created
Column is changed – currency converter will trigger when a column value is changed
Item is moved to any group – currency converter will trigger when an item is move to any group
Status is changed to a specific value – currency converter will trigger when status is change to a specific value
Step 6: Save Your Settings
After configuring all your preferences, click the Save button to apply the changes. Your board will now convert the currency to the destination currency you selected!
