Integrating Extract and Outlook in Monday.com

This tutorial will guide you through integrating Extract and Outlook in Monday.com. Setting up this integration allows you to save the sender’s name, email, and content as an item in Monday.com whenever an email creates a new item. Just so you know, due to limitations with Outlook, files attached to emails cannot be retrieved by Extract.

Prerequisites:

• Access to Monday.com with appropriate permissions to install integrations.

Step 1: Install the Extract Integration:

• You can just log in to your Monday.com account and navigate to the board where you want to install the Extract integration.
• On the board, locate the “Integrate” option in the top menu and click on it.
• In the integrations panel, search for “Extract” and select the Extract integration from the available options. “when new item is created using email, save Sender Name and Email as item”
• You can follow the on-screen instructions to install the Extract integration for your Monday.com account.
• Ensure that the necessary fields, such as “Sender Name” and “Sender Email,” are mapped correctly.

Step 2: Install the Outlook Integration:

• Return to the board where you installed the Extract integration.
• Access the “Integrate” option once again and search for “Outlook” in the integrations panel.
• Select the Outlook integration from the available options. “when an email is received, create an item in group”
• Follow the instructions to authorize the integration and connect your Outlook email account to Monday.com.

Congratulations! You have successfully integrated Extract and Outlook in Monday.com. Now, whenever a new item is created using email, the sender’s name, email, and content will be automatically saved as an item in Monday.com. Please remember that files attached to emails cannot be retrieved because of limitations with Outlook.
