Automatically link internal files to other sharable boards on monday.com using VLookup
With monday.com, you can use the file column to upload your files and automatically link them to another board. This is a great way to collaborate with your team and improve your workflows.
Install VLookup Integrations in both the source and target board. To do this, go to your “source board” and click on the “Integration Center” tab. Search for “VLookup” and install the integration.
If you want to trigger the integration through automation, you’ll need to install the “when item is created (using form or automation)” integration.
If you want to add the files manually, you’ll need to install the “when a column value changes, automatically update changes in linked boards” integration.
Once the integration is installed, you’ll need to add the VLookup Edit View to both the source and target boards. Here’s how:
Install VLookup Edit View in both the source and target board. To do this, go to your “source board” and click on the “+” icon located below your board’s title. Select “VLookup Edit View” and install it in both the source and target board.
Once the VLOOKUP Edit View is installed, go back to the target board and create a recipe, select the columns that you want to link.
That’s it! You’re now ready to use the monday.com file column to upload and share files with your team.
