Step 1: Install Custom Item ID Smart Column

Click the button below to install the Custom Item ID Smart Column.

Step 2: Go to the Desired Board

Navigate to the board where you want to add the Custom Item ID Smart Column

Step 3: Add the Custom Item ID

Select the column where you want the Custom Item ID to appear.
Click the three dots (…) on the top right of the column header.
From the dropdown menu, choose Column Extensions.
Select Custom Item ID from the available options.

Step 4: Define your Custom ID sequence

Type Prefix: Input a custom prefix of your choice.
Use Columns/Groups: Choose the columns you want to combine with the prefix.
Minimum Digits: Set the minimum number of digits for your custom item ID.
Starting Number: Specify the starting number for your custom ID sequence.

Step 5: Set the Custom ID Trigger

Select one of the following triggers to activate the Mirror column:

Item is created – Custom ID will trigger when a new item is created
Column is changed – Custom ID will trigger when a column value is changed
Item is moved to any group – Custom ID will trigger when an item is move to any group
Status is changed to a specific value – Custom ID will trigger when status is change to a specific value

Step 6: Save Your Settings

Once you’ve configured your preferences, click the Save button to apply the changes. Your board will generate custom IDs based on the selected parameters.
